On 22^nd of September, North Class Technologies Shareholding Co., Ltd (shorted for Northglass hereinafter) held a contract-signing ceremony as well as a press conference in Henan Hall of the Great Hall of the People for the bid-winning of the Olympics projects of the Bird’s Nest and Water Tube.
    The signing ceremony formally started at 15 o'clock in the afternoon. People seated in the front line include signing representatives of contractors of the Bird’s Nest project—department of general contracting of the National Stadium project of Beijing Urban Construction Group Co., Ltd and Huamei Decoration Engineering Corp. of Guohua Oversea Investment Co., Ltd;of Beijing Citic; representatives of the contractor of the Water Tube project—Beijing Decoration Subsidiary of Shenzhen Zhonghang Curtain Wall Engineering Co., Ltd； Mr. Zhang Baiheng—secretary-general of the Glass Community； Mr. Gao Xueming—Board Chairman of Northglass, Mr. Li Yalei—Vice President of Northglass, Mr. Lei Min—Chief Executive Officer of Northglass, and Mr. Gao Qi—general manager of Beijing Subsidiary and etc. People seated in back lines include journalists from over 60 medias in the news circle of Beijing and invited representative guests from each cooperating party, and the whole Henan Hall is filled to the capacity.
    Board Chairman and President Gao Xueming spoke firstly. “The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games is the focus of the world, and the Bird’s Nest project—the Olympics gymnasium as the No. 1 building in the world in 2007 is even more praised. I’m very gratified today that Northglass can sign the Bird’s Nest project and the Water Tube project here to contribute to the Beijing Olympic Games … We’ve ever won the bid of the National Grand Theater with the super flat stain-free tempering technology which enables the reinforced glass to keep the sparkling and crystal-clear features, and today we again win the bid of the Bird’s Nest and the Water Tube with the super flat stain-free tempering technology which combines the pure and clear glass with the matured processing technologies, and adds magnificent colors to the Bird’s Nest and the Water Tube—the symbolic buildings of the Beijing Olympic Games. Furthermore, the original glass pieces used in the bid are domestic Gold-crystal ultra clear pieces, which are completely domestically produced glass products used in world top-class buildings. The glass pieces are proudness not only of Northglass, but of the industry and the nation.”
    It is said that the ultra clear glass for the Bird's Nest project is produced with super flat stain-free tempering technologies and high-tech red screen printing. Thousands of square meters of red glass embedded inside the Bird’s Nest will bring a dazzling “Chinese Red” visual effect to the Bird’s Nest. The glue-lined sub-light low-reflection color glaze composite glass products are provided by Northglass to the Water Tube project, which makes the Water Tube sparkling, crystal-clear, pure and noble, water naturally integrated with glass and the whole architecture is like a crystal palace.
    Just as Mr. Pi Youxin, general manager of department of the National Stadium project of Guohua International Project Contracting Company of Beijing Urban Construction Group, said in his speech, “The Olympics select China, the Bird’s Nest selects Northglass, which means that the enterprise is of the top-class in glass deep processing industry in China, and the products are as good as the world-class products.”

    At 15:30, the signing ceremony formally started, and representatives from various parties got onto the rostrum.
